A full time visual artist working out of her Yonge & Lawrence Studio, Fiona Debell has made something of a splash in recent times with her uncommon use of colour and composition.

"With every artwork, I strive to create an instinctive response in the viewer.

2023 sees me proudly introducing The ‘Reciprocity’ Collection. A body of work comprising restrained colour studies completed in acrylic gouache - a soft, velvety pigment filled paint that is a natural progression from my ink work.

Whilst I still love to create the chromatic ink pieces I am known for, the creative process of 'art practice' commands me to explore and develop my artistic output. 2023 feels like a time for calm reflection and Reciprocity is just that.
