Sally received a B.F.A. (1973) from Aquinas College, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She has been painting in oils for the past 12 years and watercolours for 4 years. The last few years Sally has concentrated on landscape, exploring the tension between the real and the abstract. Water, sky, rocks, fields and vistas are the source material for new paintings. She is inspired by the beauty of the natural world and by a wide variety of painters of the figure, landscape and abstraction, including David Hockney, Wayne Thiebaud,  and Richard Diebenkorn.

In Toronto, Sally has shown with the North Toronto Group of Artists, Gallery 1313, Red Head Gallery, and Wychwood Barns, and the Neilson Park Community Centre.
