Shailyn Bruining (she/her) is a Toronto-based encaustic artist whose vibrant, textured works explore fleeting moments of beauty in nature. Rooted in storytelling, her work offers a gentle defiance to the world’s chaos, bringing joy and comfort through bold colours, layered textures, and carved, graphic linework.
Shailyn studied art and design at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, ON, and York University in Toronto, ON. Her work has been featured in juried exhibitions, community art shows, and galleries.
