Shailyn’s art practice is a recording of – and reaction to – moments experienced outdoors, in awe-inspiring nature. Colour and movement in water, clouds, and florals are common themes explored. She loves the warmth of working with encaustic, building up layers, carving in, scraping back and fusing with heat to reveal her artistic intention. Shailyn’s art is included in many private and corporate collections in Canada and the USA.
