Sue Ennis is an abstract artist whose focus has been painting and teaching art since retiring from a career in the financial sector. Her focus is on creating peaceful images of florals and landscapes.
She says “In our technology-based, digital world, we can sometimes find ourselves rushed, overwhelmed, and out of touch with each other and ourselves. My paintings offer an opportunity to pause, to consider, to “be with” the paintings in a moment of connection and contemplation. I want my paintings to make you slow down, to experience calm, colour, and to let suggestions or memories bubble up into your consciousness.”
She is a member of the Ontario Society of Artists and of the North Toronto Group of Artists.
